An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Perse School, for a Duty Manager to assist with the running of the new swimming pool, Sports Centre and climbing wall. With completion due in Summer 2024, the new sports facilities, based at the Upper School site, will include a six-lane 25-metre swimming pool, sports hall and climbing facility comprising an 11-metre roped climbing wall and bouldering area.
Working under the direction of the Sports Centre Manager, the Duty Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective daily management and operation of the swimming pool, climbing wall and sports hall within The Perse School Sports Centre. There will be a particular focus on ensuring the facilities are appropriately maintained, staffed and managed ensuring effective and efficient service is provided for both the School and outside users. They will assist in the delivery of a learn to swim programme and help to coordinate a programme of other sports hirings.
A successful Duty Manager will be a positive team player, have an ability to lead and excellent customer service skills. They will have experience of working in a leisure environment and managing third parties use of the facilities. They will have management experience in a relevant role and the ability to recommend and assist in setting up and improving procedures.
