The Company
Mid sized, fast growing media company with a portfolio of leading b2b publications, websites and events. They have a supportive, family feel to the business with regular socials. They also believe in developing talent into more senior roles.
The Role of Sponsorship Sales Manager
As the company's first dedicated Sponsorship Sales Manager you will essentially take ownership of and drive revenues for all event sponsorship for their 15 year old b2b brands. The portfolio will include 2 leading industry awards ceremonies where you will sell category (and other bespoke) sponsorship opportunities. These events are highly regarded black tie awards but the company doesn't have any dedicated sponsorship person currently so they haven't been able to really exploit the revenue potential....that's where you come in. In addition to the awards you will also talk to clients about more bespoke client events, like roundtables. When relevant you will also sell advertising solutions to your clients.

You will be selling to both new clients as well as existing advertisers who would benefit from event sponsorship activity. You will also travel (around 4 times per year) to the likes of Dubai, Hong Kong and Vegas with the role!
Requirements for this Sponsorship Sales Manager position
3-7 years multiplatform media sales experience
Experience of selling award category sponsorship
Able to travel abroad 4-6 times a year
Strong at new business development
Self-starter excited at the prospect of potentially growing a department
Stable career history
