Milk Education are working in partnership with a Special Educational Needs school in Tower Hamlets who specifically cater for children with ASC and are seeking a highly effective and dynamic Speech and Language Therapy Mentor to join them to support students, shape young minds and empower students with communication challenges.

The successful candidate will work closely with the SenCo and Teachers to support pupils achieve their potential within and out of the school environment. Our ideal candidate is passionate, experienced and ready to provide exceptional speech and language support to this creative and dynamic special school.

About the role:

* Implement individualized therapy plans designed by the Speech and Language Therapist to meet the specific needs of students.

* Provide direct support and interventions to students with speech and language difficulties, both one-on-one and in group settings.

* Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment

* Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes the communication skills and confidence of all students.

The ideal candidate will have:

* Relevant qualifications

* A strong sense of empathy, understanding and compassion for individuals facing speech and language challenges.

* A passion for learning and desire to continuously expand knowledge and skills through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

* A good sense of adaptability and readiness to learn and implement new therapy techniques and strategies as needed.

* The capacity to collaborate effectively with therapists, teachers, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support.
