Here at Futures, we are delighted to support a well-established FMCG Food Manufacturing business based in Newport!
The business is one of the leaders within their specific niche, this is mainly due to their amazing NPD team and the exciting NPD projects that they have going on. Supplying some of the biggest retailers such as Morrisons, Tesco, Asda and M&S they are extremely well known for their work.
Due to growth, they're appointing a Specification Technologist to join their Technical and NPD team. Reporting to the Technical department, you will be responsible for ensuring that all company quality parameters and procedures are complied with and that all products manufactured meet the required standards.
Your Responsibilities:
To assess raw materials specification data against company and retail requirements.
Requesting further detail and clarification from suppliers where necessary before risk assessment.
To update the company-approved ingredient list.
To keep updated with current forthcoming legislation.
Taking part in the supplier approval process, assessing approval documentation, and providing reasoned judgment when necessary.
To be successful, you will need:
Degree or Equivalent in Food Technology.
Experience across raw material risk assessment and supplier approval.
Ability to prioritise tasks.
A keen eye for detail.
