Specialty Doctor in ACAH

Lead role in Acute Care at Home Team.
Attend the daily virtual ward round.
One Outpatient Clinic per week.
Provide ward cover on request.
Provide cover for the Acute Care at Home Team – 3 hours on Saturday and 3 hours on Sunday (1 in 6 rota).
Teach medical students on placement within the specialty.
Work closely with the Multi-disciplinary Team.
Ensure good communication with patients and relatives.
Participate in the investigation of any complaints within the Directorate.
Undertake to perform additional duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances.
Complete accident report forms as per Trust Policy.
Adhere to the statutory requirement for the notification of infectious diseases.
Help with the assessment of inpatients in Craigavon Area Hospital regarding suitability for transfer to the Geriatric Medical Unit.
