Role Description of the Specialist Seating and Wheelchair Assessor position:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Specialist Seating and Wheelchair Assessor to join their team.
This is a full-time role involving both fieldwork and office-based duties.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive seating and wheelchair assessments, often in collaboration with healthcare professionals, to identify and provide the most suitable mobility solutions for clients.
Key Responsibilities of the Specialist Seating and Wheelchair Assessor position:
* Conduct detailed seating and wheelchair assessments at client premises. Assessments are carried out with the assistance of healthcare professionals.
* Provide expert recommendations for specialist seating, wheelchair, and positioning products based on individual client needs.
* Work closely with healthcare professionals and clients to determine the best solutions for mobility and comfort.
* Ensure that all recommended products are tailored to meet the specific anatomical, physiological, and ergonomic needs of each client.
* Educate clients and healthcare professionals on the use and benefits of the recommended products.
* Prepare detailed reports and documentation of assessments, recommendations, and client interactions.
* Provide ongoing support and follow-up with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or adjustments needed.
* Manage administrative tasks related to assessments and client interactions from our Widnes location, with flexibility for some remote work.
* Stay updated with and adhere to relevant regulations, guidelines, and best practices in the field of seating and mobility.
Qualifications and Skills of the Specialist Seating and Wheelchair Assessor position:
* Proven experience in seating and wheelchair assessments.
* Strong knowledge of recommending and prescribing specialist seating and mobility aids.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and healthcare professionals.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines in the healthcare and mobility sector.
* Previous experience in the healthcare industry or a related field is highly desirable.
* A valid driving license is required, and a vehicle will be provided for field assessments.
