You will be supported by Team Leaders and Deputy Team Leaders on each rotation to develop core respiratory assessment & treatment skills.Candidates shouldHave a BSc, MSc or Grad Dip in Physiotherapy, be HCPC registered, have great communication & interpersonal skills.Be able to provide a comprehensive Physiotherapy service to patients with a wide range of cardio-respiratory conditions in all settings.Be able to build on developed Physiotherapy skills & consolidate specialist skills in cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy required to manage these patient groups via 6-month rotational system.Main duties of the jobBecome part of our innovative team covering inpatient and outpatient services including our on-call, twilight and weekend working provision.Rotations are in the following areas -- Transplant & Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic & PEA Surgery, Cardiology, Intensive Care Unit, Respiratory Support and Sleep Centre (RSSC) and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Respiratory Medicine Wards and outpatient clinics (including Bronchiectasis, ILD, & Pulmonary Hypertension) and Cystic Fibrosis.What we provide to you:Support and teaching to enable you to provide excellent patient care across all rotational areasSpecialist departmental and team in service trainingRegular one to ones, clinical supervision, appraisals, and competency supportIn house courses and access to external courses and conferencesInvolvement with expert multi-disciplinary teamsAdvanced skill teaching and support including ECMO rehab, ventricular assist devices, nebulised drug challenges, tracheostomy weaning and decannulation.Opportunity for service development projectsParticipation in audits and research.Support and guidance for you to mentor students and junior staff.Join our supportive, dynamic and growing Physiotherapy team in our internationally renowned Cardiothoracic Hospital at Cambridge Biomedical Campus.About usRoyal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is the UK's leading heart and lung hospital, delivering care to more than 50,000 patients a year in its new state-of-the-art hospital in Cambridge.
