Speech and Language Therapist

Location: Oxfordshire

Organization: A reputable school in the Oxford area is seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join its multidisciplinary team. This is an amazing opportunity to work in a rewarding environment, providing essential support to children aged between 5-16 years of age with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for children with speech and language difficulties.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and create detailed reports outlining each child's progress.
  • Plan and deliver therapy sessions that are engaging, age-appropriate, and tailored to meet each child's specific needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy interventions, making modifications as necessary.
  • Support children in developing their communication skills, including speech, language, and social communication.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the child's care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress, and any other pertinent information.

Our standarts:

  • Hold a recognized qualification in Speech and Language Therapy - HCPC.
  • Certification from a professional body such as the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage caseload effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Prioritize the well-being, safety, and overall development of the children under your care.
