An exciting opportunity has arisen to continue our Specialist Clinical Fellow Programme to replace our current Fellows. The County Hospital in Hereford, part of the Wye Valley NHS Trust is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The constantly evolving and dynamic urology department is looking for a motivated middle grade to support current and newly developed services.
The Urology department is a cohesive and harmonious team consisting of four consultants, a deanery appointed SpR, five urology CNS's 3 Senior Clinical Fellows along with a Clinical Education Fellow. A wide range of urological services are offered including oncology, functional urology and stone services. The successful candidate will be involved in supporting clinics, flexible cystoscopy and theatres in addition to an on-call rota.
The post is ideal for candidates looking to enhance their urological experience and CV, especially if considering an application for a National Training Number as the post offers protected theatre and research/audit time.
We are proud of our high conversion rate from Fellow to NTN. Our previous Fellows ranked 8th and 9th securing first choice NTN's and our F2 has been successful in obtaining an ST1 Urology run through post, also securing his first choice. Our current Fellows leave with multiple peer review publications, presentations, prizes and a healthy logbook and they are all happy to give a placement testimonial.
