Special Needs Teaching Assistant (Full Time)

April 2024 onwards (Long Term Role)

The School and Role

This SEND School, based in Morpeth is looking to appoint a passionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work in Key Stage 1 or 2 classes on a full-time basis. Working in this SEND School as part of an established team, the desired Special Needs Teaching Assistant will be working on a small class sized basis with pupils with SEND including Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, Learning Disabilities, Social, Emotional or Mental Health (SEMH) and Associated Behavioural Difficulties. This full time Special Needs Teaching Assistant role is long term from April ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

Requirements

The desired Special Needs Teaching Assistant will have;

-          Experience of working with primary or secondary school aged children

-          Experience of working with pupils with SEND

-          A passion for the progress of SEND primary school pupils

-          An ability to work as part of a team
