M/LK Education Search is excited to be partnering with this beautiful, Independent special school for children with ASD, ADHD and SEMH, located in the heart of the beautiful town of Lewes, East Sussex.
They are in urgent need of additional capacity within their SEN Department to support September admissions. As a SENCO you will hold responsibility for:
ensuring a smooth transition for the new admissions arriving in September
securing LA funding support through tribunal processes.
collaborating with all key stakeholders to develop and implement individual plans
maintaining accurate records, monitor progress, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies
contributing to the development of SEN policies and practices within the school.
You will be:
a qualified and/or experienced SENCO or SEN/Inclusion leader within a similar environment.
well-versed with the SEND Code of Practice.
experienced in motivating staff and pupils, using a person-centred approach.
an exceptional communicator who builds strong relationships with key stakeholders.
to working with pupils with SEMH and additional needs like trauma, attachment, and challenging behaviours.
aware of the Independent School Standards
