More about the role
As Post Office Assistant you will be at the forefront of our Post Offices driving customer service and maximising sales. It is your job to provide help and assistance to the customer to ensure we provide appropriate Post Office services to meet their needs.
What can you expect to be doing?
Maximise sales by delivering excellent customer service
Post Office system operation and cash handling
Controlling and replenishing stock levels
Maintaining security within the Post Office according to the Post Office and Company procedures
Ensuring that all Post Office standards, including customer service and health and safety, are maintained
To maintain and update administration in accordance with existing procedures
General cleaning duties
A few things about you
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Be helpful and friendly and feel comfortable working with the public
To be enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated
Adopt a 'can do' attitude to challenging situations
Have a flexible approach to working hours
Be able to work as part of a team but also on your own initiative
Previous experience in Post Office is preferred but not essential
GCSE Maths and English at grade c or level 4 ( or equivalent )
