Spanish or French Teacher Key Stage 3 – Key Stage 5, Stoke Mandeville

Role: Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher

Location: Stoke Mandeville

Start date: September 2024

Here at Supply Desk we are looking for an ambitious Modern foreign languages Teacher (Spanish Teacher and French) for a school in Stoke Mandeville. You will be required to lead lessons to pupils in MFL across Key Stage 3-Key Stage 5. You will be expected to deliver valuable lessons that stretch the class and encourage a passion for the subject.

As a modern foreign language’s teacher:

• Listen to the views of students about their preferred methods and styles of learning
• Working with Key Stage 3 – Key Stage 5 pupils teaching modern foreign languages with a specialist in Spanish and French.
• Take account of students’ prior levels of learning and achievement and use them to set targets for future improvements.
• Set high expectations for students’ behaviour by establishing a purposeful working atmosphere in accordance with the Behaviour for learning strategies.
• Daily tasks include planning lessons, creating sample problems, giving assignments, and writing tests.
• Carry out teaching duties in accordance with the school’s schemes of work and the National Curriculum
• To work collaboratively in the delivery of Spanish or French in order to facilitate the effective
• development of the subject throughout the school.

Requirements for the Role:

• Current valid DBS or the willingness to obtain one.
• Hold QTS / PGCE or the equivalent (Unqualified teachers are welcome to apply)
• Able to provide two years’ worth of employment references.
• Positive and enthusiastic approach to education.
• Fluent in Spanish or French
• Ability to commute to Stoke Mandeville
