Our client based in Wantage Oxfordshire are seeking a SOX Compliance Manager to join them in a permanent position, base on skills and relevant experience the salary is £75k with a bonus up to £11.25k and also comes with a car. For more details please apply.SOX Compliance Manager, SSCAbout this opportunity:To ensure that all Shared Service Centre departments meet the company's policies, standards and with particular emphasis on Sarbanes Oxley controls.This role reports into the European Shared Service Centre Manager.The purpose of this role is to identify and assess potential risks and develop remediation plans to manage any exposure and to implement an independent and a robust control and compliance function at Shared Services to build a reliable defence to protect and safeguard compliance thresholds.Main Responsibilities:Review SOX control evidence for completeness and complianceOrganise the collection and custody of control evidence for SOX auditsManage SOX audits and conduct annual reviews to ensure compliance with SOX controlsOrganise and manage the audit process with divisional internal and external audit with PWCReview and standardise controls to simplify and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the controls in the shared servicesMaintain routine communication, feedback and reports to the SSC management team on the effectiveness of the SSC controlsProactively detect ethical violations, compliance issues and implement remediation plans in accordance with SSC management teamEnsure that changes to governance requirements are communicated to all those affected within shared services and amongst businessesRequired Education and Qualifications:A recognised degree in Finance or Business AdministrationPart or fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACMARequired Knowledge and ExperiencePrevious experience working with or within a top Accountancy Firm ideallyPrevious experience in a governance function or compliance roleExperience with ERP systems (ideally SAP)Required Skills and Competencies:Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organisationOpen to new ideas and able to learn new processes rapidlyProblem solving skillsComputer literate with an interest in finance systemsDiligenceHighly organisedDeadline focusBeneficial:Previous experience within a Shared Service Centre environmentExposure to Sarbanes Oxley requirements
