We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, and leading the kitchen staff.
As a sous chef at CDJ Riverside you will need ambition and speed. You will be working with fresh ingredients in state of the art kitchen under the guidance of a renowned and highly experienced Head Chef. The venue will be busy and you will need stamina and skill to ensure our guests receive an exceptional dining experience. You should have the ability to focus, multi task and communicate whilst adhering to specifications and producing high quality food.
Our menus change seasonally requiring you to attend training sessions to bring you up to speed with new dishes.
Hygiene will be of major importance to you. You should be able to adhere to our strict health and safety policies and have an understanding of current food trends.
It goes without saying that being a team player is paramount.
Pay: £30,000 - £34,000

Responsibilities:
- Has a proven experience in a role as a Sous Chef with a minimum of 2 years
- Has a real passion for food and service.
- Experience in supporting a head chef in building an energised and engaged team
- Displays a strong level of organisational skills
- Have previous experience managing Paperwork & EHO Documentation
- Hard work ethic and dedication with a positive can-do attitude
Skills:
•Great member of a hard working team
- Experience in team management within a kitchen environment
- Proficient in all aspects of food production and preparation
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards
- Leadership abilities to guide and motivate kitchen staff
- Culinary skills to assist in cooking and menu planning
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant setting
