Salary:
£43,520 with the potential to rise up to £51,200 over 3 years
We have an exciting opportunity within NHS Supply Chain for a Sourcing Manager to join the Sourcing Team.
Purpose of the role
Managing all contracting activities ensuring plans are managed, delivered on time and are in line with the relevant procurement regulations.
Working within a dynamic team of internal stakeholders, such as procurement, clinical and project management, alongside several external stakeholders to develop and manage frameworks across a wide portfolio of medical products.
Utilising procurement skills and stakeholder management techniques, contributing to the management of category areas by supporting the delivery of category strategies, sourcing strategies and ongoing contract management to meet the objectives of NHS Supply Chain.

Deliver fully compliant tenders from strategy creation through to award stage for specific product categories.
Have detailed understanding of the required sourcing/tendering processes between NHS Supply Chain and relevant stakeholders.
Work alongside the trading buyers and clinical team in developing category strategies.
Develop detailed understanding of the clinical practices which drive customer demand.
Ensure all tenders are prepared and issued in accordance with internal and external regulations and procedures.
Manage all post-award procedures including relevant documentation.
Ensure suppliers provide all relevant data during the tendering process.
Provide support to ensure all contract award and launch dates are delivered to plan.
Ensure lessons learned are captured and shared with wider teams and continually look to simplify and improve processes.
Potential to undertake line management responsibility.

Experience of using e-procurement systems
Organisation and time management skills
Demonstrable public procurement & sourcing experience
Experience of working in a busy fast paced environment with agreed SLA’s
IT literate (specifically Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good understanding of commercial model
Must participate in online and face to face training and development opportunities
