JOB CLOSING ON 15TH APRIL FOR LAST APPLICANTS CV'SRole: Responsible Sourcing ManagerReporting To: Head of Sourcing, Purchasing, Quality & TechnicalResponsible for: Day to day management of the Sourcing Team – primarily working on Farah and Original Penguin brands. Others as applicablePurpose of Job: This is a ‘hands on role’ managing the supplier relationships, sourcing activities and sustainability projects of the brands, as well as supervising the day to day workload of the team (currently, a Senior Sourcing Merchandiser and Sourcing Assistant)Key responsibilities:Develop and build vendor relationships including assessment of audits and consideration of risk across global supply chain.Researching and identifying potential new suppliers and evaluating their capabilities.Manage the development costing process: ensuring that costing reviews, and appropriate cross costings are carried out as required.Conduct and support on cost negotiation and supplier allocation – in line with margin and buy quantity expectation, as appropriate for both development and bulk production.Develop and expand the brands’ supply chain mapping processes, with focus on improving transparency and traceability.Execute and/or oversee analyses of supplier data and performance and make suggestions for improvements of overall sourcing strategies.Execute/oversee allocation of vendors for seasonal and SMU product development, according to capability, cost and margin expectation.Support and develop the brands’ sustainability initiatives, e.g further use of sustainable/lower. impact materials and packaging; Textiles2030 reporting; expanding factory uptake on FEM module.Ensure regular supplier reviews are undertaken, and working with vendor and Compliance to ensure corrective action is completed where appropriate.Work closely with design and product development teams, as well as US Compliance teamAttend fit and supplier meetings, and undertake overseas travel as required.Support the Head of Sourcing, Purchasing, Quality & Technical in key projects in order to achieve company goals and targets.Training and development of Senior Sourcing Merchandiser and Sourcing Assistant.The CandidateBackground, knowledge and skills:Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the garment industry.Sound knowledge and understanding of fully factored production and costing processes.Strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to liaise across multiple sourcing channels – company liaison offices, factories and agents.Multi-category knowledge of global production, e.g: Bangladesh, China, Vietnam, Turkey, Europe, UAE and India.Solid understanding of critical path and experience of working with both seasonal and SMU buying patterns.Sound understanding of industry compliance requirements, eg. factory audit processes, risk management, Vendor Codes of Conduct and Extended Producer Regulations.Good understanding and interest in sustainability within the industry, specifically with regards to improvements and target setting.Perry Ellis Europe's benefits for all staff include:A company pension scheme.2x life cover after probation period.Discretionary Christmas bonus.Generous discounts on all our brands.24 days holiday per year (pro rata) plus bank holidays which increases to 25 days with long service.Hybrid working minimum 50% office and core hours.This is a role based in our London office.
