My clients who are a leading Defence business are currently recruiting for a Sourcing Manager / Procurement Manager (Indirects/Services) based in Farnborough (hybrid working C.2 days onsite per week) to join on a permanent fulltime basis.
Joining a global business, this role will join an established procurement division responsible for a broad range of services overseeing the whole procurement lifecycle, negotiation of terms, contract management, supplier development and stakeholder management across multi-level stakeholders.
Ideally, the hiring manager is looking for someone who has a strong track record in service-based (Indirect/services) procurement or directly from the Defence sector.
Role - Sourcing Manager / Procurement Manager (Indirects/Services)
Location - Farnborough (hybrid working, C.2 days onsite per week)
Type - Permanent position
Salary - �50,000-�60,000 (DOE) + bonus + benefits
Key responsibilities of the Sourcing Manager / Procurement Manager (Indirects/Services) role and not be limited to:
- Leading the supply chain activity within the designated project teams
- Defining, planning and executing cost effective, commercially sound procurement solutions for complex bids (working closely with wider commercial team)
- Leading supply chain discussions with suppliers and partners
- Ensuring procurement solutions are customer focussed, meet program timescales and technical requirements.
- Identifying and mitigating risks to ensure a successful end to end solution
- Supporting supply chain processes and ensuring compliance with business governance
- Providing procurement expertise to stakeholders and the wider business
- Developing an excellent understanding of the industry to improve procurement solutions and identify opportunities
- Collaborating with peers to develop and enhance systems and processes and share best practice knowledge
Key skills and experience required for Sourcing Manager / Procurement Manager (Indirects/Services) role and not limited to:
- Proven stakeholder management experience within a procurement function
- Commercial acumen and contract negotiation experience
- Management/ownership of the full procurement lifecycle
- Experience in supply chain risk management - identification and mitigation
- Excellent interpersonal skills that support collaborative stakeholder relationships
- Demonstrable experience in the understanding of external customer requirements and the recommendation of supply chain solutions which contribute to the winning of new business and/or improvements in the delivery of existing projects
