Sommelier

Position Summary
Promotes and provides an excellent wine service to our guests. Improves and maintains wine sales.
Hiring Requirements
Completed recognized sommelier certification program (e.g. Certified Sommelier, WSET)
Additional wine education or hospitality-related qualifications preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role at a reputable restaurant or wine-focused establishment.
Proven success in wine service and sales.
In-depth knowledge of wine regions, varietals, vintages, and production techniques.
Effective communication and engagement with customers regarding wine knowledge.
Track record of driving wine sales and contributing to restaurant profitability.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Potential leadership qualities and experience leading a wine service team.
Language Requirements
Ability to speak and read English - analyze and interpret procedure manuals and memos, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
Ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, etc.
