Pennies is an award-winning fintech charity with an important mission: to enable, protect and grow micro-donations , ensuring people have digital ways to keep donating the small sums of money that are so vital to charities.
Pennies works in partnership with businesses, and their payments providers, to offer micro-donation solutions at the point of sale – giving customers, paying by card or digital wallet, the chance to round-up or top-up their purchases for charity.
We're searching for a
Solution Product Manager
to drive the design and delivery of new Pennies solutions and innovations, and provide solution support across all channels.
This is a full time, permanent role, reporting to the Head of Product and Technology - working both remotely and from our office in the City of London (EC2M).
Position summary
The Solution Product Manager is a key member of the Product and Technology team – which sits within the broader Partnership Team. The Solution Product Manager has specific responsibility for driving the design and delivery of new Pennies solutions and innovations and providing solution support across all channels.
This position could suit a person early in their career, who is looking to work in the payments industry and develop a wider set of skills in a fast-paced organisation. The opportunity will enable you to work across multiple platforms, have access to development teams, huge brands, and work with the Pennies Advisory Board members.
Duties and accountabilities
Key to the role include:
Proposition and Solution Management
Understanding of Pennies’ Digital and In-Person micro-donation solutions – including integration of Pennies within In Person, e-commerce and mobile payments and new channels
Responsibility for the solution management of Pennies, including Pennies API, Extensions with Shopify, Adobe (Magento) and Sales Force and Pennies Applications that interact with Android PEDS.
Support for the Business Development Channel Managers.
Understanding and supporting implementation of best practice UX/UI and customer donation journeys and embedding into 3rd party integrations.
Working with Marketing on product positioning and collateral.
Innovation and Development
Provide consultation for new product innovations and concepts digital projects, new partners channels and new merchants solutions.
Product Roadmap
Help develop and maintain a product roadmap aligned with priorities and customer needs.
Product Delivery
Drive successful delivery of product development projects, ensuring on-time and high-quality releases.
Ensure go-to-market plans are in place.
Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely and collaborate with all stakeholders to define and prioritise product requirements for our micro-donation solutions.
Ensuring all internal and external stakeholders are kept informed of key milestones and deliveries, including External Developers and Technology Partners, including agencies and platform providers.
Wider Team Support
Provide support for key external partners, including merchants, as required.
Act as key support to the Head of Product and Technology, collaborating on delivery of the Pennies strategy and proposition.
Provide
support for the wider team where necessary, working cross-functionally to help deliver our objectives – including with the Business Development team (within the Partnership Function) and with the Finance and Ops teams.
Experience and skills
Required skills and work experience include:
Digital Experience
Preference for at least two years digital experience, with an understanding of and aptitude for digital-focused projects including integrations into e-commerce platforms, Android Applications and UX / UI and customer journeys.
Experience managing 3rd party integrations into bespoke and established e-commerce platforms – specifically Shopify, Adobe (Magento) and Salesforce is desirable.
Product Management
Knowledge of product management and development lifecycle including understanding of sprint cycles and product delivery.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies desirable.
Implementation
Proven ability of project management and prioritisation.
Payments Knowledge
Knowledge of the Payment Industry, e-Commerce, Check-outs, Hosted Payment Pages / Fields (HPP), PEDS, POS, Kiosk, solutions desirable.
Tracking and Reporting
Understanding of Objectives and Key Results (OKR) Definition & Tracking, and of KPIs, is desirable.

Be a motivated self-starter keen to work in a team environment.
Demonstrate ownership across areas of key accountability and project management activity in general.
Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

£40,000-£45,000 (dependent on experience)
