Solutions ArchitectNorthampton As a Barclays Solutions Architect, you’ll oversee creating technology application solutions for applications to meet Consumer Credit Risk business requirements in line with Risk Finance Treasury and Group IT Strategies and Architectures. You’ll work closely with application product delivery teams to ensure that those solutions are fit for purpose and help them with architecture related challenges through delivery. You’ll assist the development of systems strategies and roadmaps for the supported business area and provide ad-hoc consultancy. What will you be doing?•
Adding clarity to business requirements; challenges business requirements and demands to ensure high quality candidate solutions are created•
Thinking outside of the box to aid the business in delivering its strategic objectives rather than just responding to a pre-defined request•
Taking charge of ensuring that solutions adhere to architectural and quality standards and policies•
Assisting the Director in providing advice and guidance to business stakeholders in shaping the portfolio of technology solutions, and the estimating process•
Working with the relevant CTO Architects, supports the creation of an appropriate technology strategy and roadmap for the relevant business area•
Developing technology infrastructure solutions like strategic architecture vision & costs to meet business requirements in line with local & group-wide IT strategies & architectures•
Acting as the acknowledged authority for existing and future based solutions and be the Subject Matter Expert to both the technical development teams and the business•
Working closely with service build, delivery and operational teams across Consumer Credit Risk RFT/GDFDT What we’re looking for:•
Excellent Architecture and Design experience in a Cloud environment•
Solid grasp of Agile Software development methodologies and governance•
Excellent communication, social and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively with a variety of key stakeholder groups•
Solid skills with RDBMS experience in Oracle or similar (e.g., MS-SQL, PostgreSQL)Skills that will help you in the role:•
AWS Architecture or Engineering certification•
Experience in Java /J2EE, Micro Services•
Experience with NoSQL (e.g., MongoDb, Cassandra, ElasticSearch)Where will you be working?
