Job Description
***We are partnering exclusively with a leading city law firm to help build their newly formed Innovation Function***
My client are delighted to now be forming their new Advanced Client Solutions (ACS) team. The team will be working with lawyers and business services in all areas to turn the firm into one of the most demonstrably forward-thinking law firms in the city by the end of 2025. Once at capacity, the function will be 18 people and will be made up of the following teams.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Solution Designer / Product Manager who is passionate about blending the worlds of design and product management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment and is keen on making significant contributions to the legal tech landscape. Working closely with our Lead Solution Developer (who we are also hiring), you will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative legal tech solutions that enhance our client services worldwide.
The Solution Designer / Product Manager will report into the Lead Solution Developer.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of cutting-edge legal tech products, ensuring a seamless, intuitive (internal and external) user experience across all digital platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify user needs and translate them into innovative design solutions.
Spearhead the integration of design and product management principles to align product objectives with user experience goals.
Oversee the product design lifecycle, from ideation through to launch and iteration, ensuring that design quality and consistency are maintained.
Work closely with the Lead Solution Developer to ensure design and technical implementation are seamlessly integrated.
Champion a user-centric design approach, leveraging the latest UX/UI trends and technologies to drive engagement and satisfaction.
Comply with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Standards and Regulations, and Principles.
Person Specification
Proven experience as a Product Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in UX/UI design and product management.
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
Demonstrable experience in leading design projects, with a keen ability to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a passion for translating complex business and legal concepts into user-friendly digital solutions.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, capable of working closely with both technical and non-technical team members.
A familiarity in product management or a strong understanding of product development processes and methodologies.
While not essential, familiarity with the legal or professional services industry and its specific challenges and opportunities would be a plus.
