Position Overview:
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Solar PV Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Scotland. As a key member of our renewables company, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the development and implementation of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of sustainable energy solutions and manage impactful solar projects from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, development, and execution of solar PV projects, ensuring all project phases are completed on time and within budget.
Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, external contractors, regulatory bodies, and project stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and agreements.
Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and oversight on solar PV system design, installation, and performance optimization.
Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and efficient resource allocation.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with project execution and operational phases.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and prepare comprehensive reports on project status, progress, and issues.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the solar PV sector or a similar role in renewable energy projects.
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of solar PV systems, project management methodologies, and industry standards.
Project Management: Proven experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with UK energy regulations and solar PV standards.
Additional Information:
Contract Type: This position is initially offered as a contract role with the potential to transition to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Travel: Occasional travel within Scotland and the UK may be required to visit project sites and meet with stakeholders.
