Job Title: Software Test Engineer
Division/Department/Team: Support/QA
Salary: Up to £35,000 - £38,000
Job & Department Summary
As a software test engineer, you'll be involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment. You'll conduct automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose, and any bugs or issues are removed within a product before it gets deployed to everyday users
Delivering in a fast-paced environment and performing tasks alone or as a part of a team ensuring a positive customer experience at all times
Each member of the team is an ambassador for the company, and we strive to offer the highest levels of customer service at all times.
Essential Functions
users' stories and/or use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
closely with other team members and departments
and design testing plans/procedures to evaluate the performance of the software
software testing programs that automate testing processes
the software testing procedures to evaluate the software
manual testing where automation is not available or feasible
all testing procedures
bugs and making recommendations to improve the software product
software after bugs are fixed to ensure the program works properly
all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
log and track software defects and inconsistencies
quality engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle
support and user documentation, including release notes
with the creation of knowledgebase documentation
in a timely fashion to deadlines and expectations as set by manager and schedule
other duties as assigned by immediate manager or management team
Key Performance Outcomes
responsibility for own learning & development, managing time appropriately to build knowledge of product and use, requesting any training requirements.

work collaboratively within the Team by supporting colleagues giving advice and assistance where sought, and communicating in an effective manner
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum GCSE English and Mathematics grade C or equivalent. A Level or equivalent in IT or able to demonstrate competent working knowledge/experience working with computer systems, operating environments/Microsoft Applications
Experience : 2 years minimum as a Software Test Engineer or a similar role. Desirable if you have worked with the following: Selenium, Playwright, Browserstack or other browser automation tools and Azure Devops

Multi-tasking capabilities and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability and desire to expand knowledge with changing marketplace and technology
Experience in data analysis
