Job DescriptionSoftware Test Engineer12-month contractInside IR35 @ £400 per dayHybrid – 2 days per week onsite in South East London, GreenwichOur client has developed a real-time travel app, the app launched on iOS devices in August 2020 and on Android in December 2020. The first phase included multi-modal journey planning, real-time train status, nearby bus stops and live arrivals. To-date it has achieved over 4 million downloads across both platforms, as well as ratings of 4.7 and 4.4 respectively in the Apple and Android app stores.During 2024/25 they plan to accelerate delivery of new customer functionality, including adding support for more modes, including Bicycles (shared bike service), this element will be used to ‘nudge’ customer behaviour towards the use of sustainable transport options.With this new workload in mind, we are looking to find a Senior Test Analyst to join on an initial 1-year contract.Responsibilities:Collaborate with agile development teams to ensure effective communication of testing requirements and results.Utilise automation testing tools like Espresso, Postman, Proxy, and Charles to develop comprehensive test suites.Backend API TestingUtilize expert knowledge of continuous integration to integrate testing seamlessly into the development pipeline.Develop and maintain test cases, ensuring thorough coverage of all functionalities.Showcase demonstrable experience in working on back-office transactional systems, ensuring comprehensive testing coverage.Skills:Proven experience in a similar role, with a focus on mobile application testing and automation.Expert in Backend API testingStrong proficiency in automation testing tools such as Espresso, Postman, Proxy, and Charles.Deep understanding of continuous integration methodologies and tools.Demonstrated ability to create and maintain comprehensive test cases.Experience working on back-office transactional systems is highly desirable.Contract Details:This is an inside IR35 contract role, offering competitive remuneration of approximately £400 per day via an Umbrella company.Apply Now:If you're motivated and possess the qualifications, skills, and experience listed above, we invite you to join the team.
