Location: Crawley, West Sussex - three days per week
Contract: 18 month fixed term contract

We're looking for a Project Manager with a strong track record in delivering large scale software platform and API integration solutions to join our Technology Transformation team. Day to day Some of your key responsibilities as our Software Integration Project Manager will be: Review and understand the Project Business CaseProduce well considered high level plans to articulate the outline scope of the project which demonstrates the strategic objectives of the projectAs required, produce detailed plans for the project activity (using a delivery-based approach) and ensure that the project's critical path and milestones are identified and clearly communicated.Deliver the assigned project activity in an effective and inspired manner, ensuring performance and delivery expectations are made clear to all those who will be involved and that the projects are delivered successfully and on target and on budgetEnsure that all the key teams / people from across the Department are involved and briefed at an appropriate time so they understand their contribution and timescales for delivery.Adhere to the VAA Project Management methodology during the project lifecycleAbout you In addition to the above, we are looking for our successful candidate to demonstrate the following: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field would be preferableA formal qualification as a Project Manager e.g. PRINCE2, APMP or PMP is a mustDemonstrable experience of delivering complex integrated IT solutions involving integration of legacy systems with modern technology using SOA/APIsUnderstanding of airline industry processes and technologies an advantageExtensive demonstrable experience and knowledge of the technical aspects of the project, such as software integration through APIs and message queues, hardware and network infrastructure, cloud-based solutions, security, or data componentsAbility to analyze, design, and optimize technical solutions to meet the project objectives and constraintsSubstantial and demonstrable experience of management of third- party suppliers, external delivery partners and offshore services If this sounds like you, and you would like to be on this exciting journey with us, we would love to hear from you!
