Software Engineering Manager

Job Description
A global Defence client with HQ’s around the U.K are looking to bring onboard a Security cleared or willing to be security cleared Avionic Software Manager to join the team based in Warton on a hybrid remote basis - 3 days a week onsite and 2 days remote.
The successful candidate will be tasked with taking the lead in shaping the future of aircraft technology. As a Avionic Software Manager, you’ll spearhead innovative solutions, collaborate with key stakeholders, and take part in external meetings on behalf of the Software team.
Key skills:
Degree educated in a STEM degree
Strong stakeholder management experience
Experience of software implementation (Ideally ADA but can consider C, C++ or Java)
Full development lifecycle experience including design tools
Key responsibilities:
Take the lead on supporting EF software related issues
To work alongside other EPC Software Managers and support the EF Software Manager in terms of progressing/resolving actions
Support the EF Software Manager in reviews and updates to the EF Software Standards
Manage any deviations to the process for the department
Manage team budgets and schedules
