Our market ready platform, VICTA, is an optionally crewed / payload carrying dual-domain platform designed to operate at speed over range, capable of rapid transition beneath the surface to operate submerged, enabling the discreet delivery of effects within contested waters. Responsibilities include:
Software development in C++, in line with the system requirements, including prototyping, design and implementation of new functionality
Test-driven development
Deployment, testing and validation, during FAT and sea trials
Production of comprehensive software documentation
Working flexibly with the software and engineering teams to ensure software and documentation are delivered on time
Working to the highest safety standards for software development, test and validation
Working collaboratively with established partner organisations to deliver robust integration of test plans within defined timelines
Skills and experience:
Required:
Degree level qualification in Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or similar
Software development experience in C++ (academic, industry or personal)
Fast learner and a team player
Desirable:
Software development in modern C++
General understanding of closed loop control
Experience with ROS2
Experience with mobile robotics projects
An understanding of basic electronics
Any exposure to PLC programming
A proactive individual with strong commitment and self-motivation
Willingness to embrace innovation and creativity
