Contract Software Engineer
A Software Engineer with experience in Verification and Test is required for a leading global Aerospace company. You will use your experience of the Software Development Lifecycle (DO-178C/SEAL) to support across key projects.
The job will include:Preparation of the technical specifications and interfaces for Electrical Power Distribution System, including review and evaluation of legacy artefactsProvide technical Support in hardware and software integration for the Electrical Power Distribution SystemPreparation and review of Systems & Electrical Software test plan and procedures, including review and evaluation of legacy test artefactsSupport in design reviews collaborating with other stakeholders (Certification, Safety, Quality) to realise project commitmentsConducting Software VerificationRequirements development, review and management using DOORSDefining verification strategies and authoring verification proceduresWill support remaining team members and performing oversight/coordination of working with 3rd party suppliers Experience: Degree in Engineering or similarFamiliarity with agile and scrum methodologiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing project requirementMinimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace software verificationKnowledge of scripting languages (e.g. DXL) an advantage.Knowledge of MATLAB an advantage.Knowledge of SEALLocation of work: CheltenhamRate £75Contractors required x1Duration: 12 MonthsStart Date ASAPRequired to be on site in Cheltenham for Software Verification activitiesDue to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens.
