Software Engineer | Kent | £35,000 – £55,000 Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently working with a leading global electronics organisation as they look to add to their team of Application Software Engineers. THE BASICS: We are looking for Software Engineers, with strong communication skills, who are team players – keen to work on new and exciting hi-tech hardware and software systems. You’ll be working with the latest technologies and contributing towards the development of software applications to control state-of-the-art products. Your daily tasks will include the support and maintenance of existing software applications; producing clear design documentation of software design interfaces and the design and development of internal software systems to detailed specifications in accordance with ISO9001. THE SKILLS: If you can communicate clearly and have knowledge of Object Orientated Design and programming techniques with strong software development experience in C#, then this position should be of interest. We are looking for developers who are highly organised and possess great attention to detail, with the ability to understand applications such as Microsoft Windows & Linux. C++ skills are also highly valued, as is knowledge of C#/.NET frameworks. Anyone with 2 or more years software development experience gained in a development environment or gained from a University qualification should apply TODAY! Senior Engineers MUST have an understanding with WPS, good best practise, design understanding and well as a full understanding of the SDLC. THE DESIRABLES: Anyone who has worked with UML (Unified Modelling Languages), coupled with knowledge around the development of distributed software applications, and network programming (TCP/IP, UDP) with exposure to image processing, will be of high interest.
