For this role you will be attached to one of our core locations in Newport, Titchfield, Edinburgh or Darlington where presence at one of these sites will form part of the working arrangements agreed with you. (20% of the working week to be in the office until April 2024 - 40% thereafter).

We operate a hybrid working model that allows you to work between home and office locations, giving you greater flexibility about where and when you work.

About Us

We are the UK's largest independent producer of Official Statistics and also the recognised national statistics institute for the UK. We are responsible for collecting and publishing statistics related to the economy, population and society at national, regional and local levels. We also conduct the census in England and Wales every ten years. Our statistics help government, businesses and citizens to make informed decisions and choices, based on information they can trust.

We also play a leading role in national and international good practice in the production of official statistics. It is the executive office of the UK Statistics Authority.

Requirement

• An opportunity for an Angular expert to work on a critical Google Cloud Platform (GCP) utilising a very good working knowledge of TypeScript, HTML language, Node.js and CSS.
• We are looking for a candidate who has significant experience and has an in-depth knowledge of the Angular Framework. This Angular developer must be the master of this framework. As the framework is regularly updated and new versions are released, it is essential to keep up the knowledge and skills current.

• An understanding of Core JavaScript. JavaScript is the core of many application frameworks. By having a grasp of JavaScript, a good developer has a working knowledge of other frameworks.

• Good command of Angular is written in TypeScript, a superset of JavaScript.
  It supports strong typing and results in fewer bugs.

• Thorough knowledge of web markup, primarily focusing on HTML language, and CSS.
• A developer who knows how to use web markup has a firm understanding of elements interaction and positioning, as well as UI/UX concepts.
• A degree of experience with RESTful API integration. RESTful API (which stands for application program interface) uses HTTP requests to GET, PUT, POST, and DELETE data.
