Job Title: Software Development EngineerSalary: £50,000/+Benefits: To be discussed at interviewJob Type: PermanentLocation: Coventry, West MidlandsJob Start date: ASAPShift Pattern: DaysWe're currently supporting our client, a machine solutions manufacturer, based in Coventry, West Midlands, in their search for a Software Development Engineer.Position Overview: Due to expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Software Development Engineer. The role centres on the development of Windows desktop software to support manufacturing projects in a variety of industries including aerospace, gas turbine and gear grinding. This is an opportunity that will allow you to create and mould a software package that will keep evolving for your customers.Responsibilities for Software Development Engineer:
* Develop Windows desktop engineering software to support and enhance manufacturing projects.
* Work closely with the Engineering Software Manager and a team of production engineers to ensure the software solution meets process specifications.
* Maintenance of existing C# software applications; including bug-fixing and adding new functionality.
* Support existing customers in the use of new and existing software.
* Visit customer facilities, both in the UK and Europe, to allow analysis, design, and installation of Windows-based engineering software.About You:
* Ideally qualified to degree-level in a software or engineering discipline.
* Working knowledge of C#.
* Experience using MS Visual Studio.
