Software Development Engineer

Location: St Neots (PE19 8YP), Cambridge Hours: full time, 40 hours a week, hybrid working optional Your role Pico is on a remarkable journey, with 32 years of continuous growth and success under our belt. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer who specialises in C++ to integrate newhardware into a secure and well tested C level API.
There is a focus on delivering the best SDK experience to both customers applications and internal apps such as PicoScope or PicoLog. You will be responsible for product/project progress, writing tech specs, identifying risks and investigating bugs, writing unit and integration tests and for builds and infrastructure. All of this whilst putting your C++ knowledge to fantastic use!
This role is a full time position, 40 hours a week based in our St Neots office! We do offer hybrid working (2-3 days a week in the office) but it's completely up to you whether you choose to work in this way. We understand the importance of a work-life balance and it's essential that we support our Piconians to get it right, therefore we have core office hours of 10am-3pm, meaning you can manage your 40 hours flexibly throughout the week. What we're looking for Are you a process champion in Scrum or TDD? EXCELLENT! We require advanced knowledge of programming languages, operating systems and code design at engineerlevel. Demonstrable experience of ability to lead a team and coach others is a necessity. Experience with Windows, Mac or Linux is also ideal!
