Job Introduction
Mail Technology is the IT Service provider for the dmg media set of companies owned by DMGT (Daily Mail & General Trust). These include many well known and most loved brands including Daily Mail, Mail Online, The Mail on Sunday, Metro and The i. Through our national newspapers, websites and mobile services, we connect with over 45% of the UK's adult population with over 130 million consumer touch points per month.
The focus of your attention will be on group wide E-commerce projects and will involve working across a number of the Mail brands and products. This is a collaborative environment in which you will have a strong input and the opportunity to build experience and responsibilities across the business.
Main Responsibilities
Be hands-on creating and managing test automation suites as required by our business partners
Work closely with the Project Managers, QA team to identify, advise and turn QA tasks and repetitive testing requirements into well reusable solutions
Work with Dev-ops to manage solutions from development through to deployment
Pair with other testers to solve problems.
Communicate on progress, risks and issues.
Create automation framework independently for regression from scratch and manage existing automation suites
To set-up and execute automated and manual testing scenarios for new and ongoing projects
Build RTM mapping against the Automation test case scripts
Track the automation bugs to closure
Best practices for software quality during execution of regression and end-to-end testing.
Person Specification
Previous experience of at least 2-3 years in similar position at being hands-on and leading people and process.
Experience of working in Agile teams and an excellent understanding of Agile Testing practices, including:
Good understanding of Selenium /Webdriver IO
Good programming abilities with experience in Java/Typescript/Java Script.
Knowledge and experience with Git (Source control)
Knowledge and experience with MVN/Gradle (Package library manager)
Knowledge and experience with Jenkins (Job Builder/Runner).
Knowledge andxperience with GitHub e Actions/Workflows etc.
Basic knowledge of Docker
