You'll respond to customer demand for bespoke and custom technical solutions, ranging from novel interface solutions up to full development of computer and network systems.Day to day, you'll work as part of a team to research, develop and integrate a system of disparate, networked sensors to conform with the latest industry standards.You'll also:Contribute to the design and development of the software and the underlying architectureHave an understanding of RF fundamentals to support the development, creation, and testing of the systemCreate modules to interface with differing hardware assets in a standardised wayUtilise computer networks and relevant communication protocols to support testing and design of the systemCarry out interface design document and interface control document analysis, ideally with some reverse engineering skillsThis role is full time, 37-hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with two days in the office/onsite and three days working from home.Essential experience of the Software DeveloperStrong experience in object-orientated software development.A solid background of Microsoft C# .NET and/or Python is essential.Development of systems utilising technologies such as REST API's communicating in XML/JSON.Some backend knowledge on databases such as SQLite/PostgreSQLHands on experience configurating and customising of system hardware components using various interfaces.Qualifications for the Software DeveloperWe value difference and don't have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
