What you’ll do:
As a Manager Software Asset Management and Inventory, you’ll be leading a diverse team operating across Sky UK and India and working closely with our counterparts in Sky Group and Comcast/NBCU. You’ll manage a team and the interaction with other departments at a UK and global level, including various Tech areas, Finance and Legal.
Own and lead the Software Asset Management strategy for Sky UK
Expand this strategy to Sky Group
Manage the operational governance of software contracts at Sky, drive the adoption of agreed SAM practices and adherence to controls.
Lead software vendor stakeholder forums and drive internal strategy.
Design Effective License Position reports and build KPI dashboards.
Manage a team of Software Asset Managers to deliver reporting and analysis to business stakeholders
Monitor contract utilisation and plan capacity for software licenses across Datacenter and client environments
Ensure compliance and manage audits
Work with procurement, finance and legal on contract renewals
Lead SAM initiatives to implement UK wide software remediation and work with Information Security to address risks - Innovate to develop SAM policy, process and procedures
Own and lead the enterprise inventory strategy for Sky Group
Guide a team in developing data integration across multiple platforms
Ensure Sky has a robust server and software inventory for consumption
Ensure 24x7 support cover for all inventory tools across the production estate
Manage, upgrade and control applications in a large and complex environment

What you'll bring:
Technical excellence in leading a SAM and inventory function in a fast paced and complex organisation
The gravitas to articulate to senior stakeholders on governance, risk and controls
High competency in SAM modelling for Datacentre software and a deep bias towards evidence-based decision making
Expertise in managing SAM for Tier 1 vendors – Microsoft and at least one of IBM, Oracle, Microsoft & VMware
Expertise in inventory toolsets, ideally Cloudsphere, Snow and ILMT
Ability to mentor and coach both senior and junior members of the team
Experience in managing software audits
Programming experience in SQL and ideally other languages
