You’ll manage a team and the interaction with other departments at a UK and global level, including various Tech areas, Finance and Legal.Own and lead the Software Asset Management strategy for Sky UKExpand this strategy to Sky GroupManage the operational governance of software contracts at Sky, drive the adoption of agreed SAM practices and adherence to controls.Lead software vendor stakeholder forums and drive internal strategy.Design Effective License Position reports and build KPI dashboards.Manage a team of Software Asset Managers to deliver reporting and analysis to business stakeholdersMonitor contract utilisation and plan capacity for software licenses across Datacenter and client environmentsEnsure compliance and manage auditsWork with procurement, finance and legal on contract renewalsLead SAM initiatives to implement UK wide software remediation and work with Information Security to address risks - Innovate to develop SAM policy, process and proceduresOwn and lead the enterprise inventory strategy for Sky GroupGuide a team in developing data integration across multiple platformsEnsure Sky has a robust server and software inventory for consumptionEnsure 24x7 support cover for all inventory tools across the production estateManage, upgrade and control applications in a large and complex environmentWhat you'll bring:Technical excellence in leading a SAM and inventory function in a fast paced and complex organisationThe gravitas to articulate to senior stakeholders on governance, risk and controlsHigh competency in SAM modelling for Datacentre software and a deep bias towards evidence-based decision makingExpertise in managing SAM for Tier 1 vendors – Microsoft and at least one of IBM, Oracle, Microsoft & VMwareExpertise in inventory toolsets, ideally Cloudsphere, Snow and ILMTAbility to mentor and coach both senior and junior members of the teamExperience in managing software auditsProgramming experience in SQL and ideally other languagesTeam overview:Group Communications & Infrastructure Looking to be part of non-stop innovation?
