May 10th, 2024 This is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-grade platforms used by millions, across the UK.Based in the centre of Manchester and working on a hybrid remote basis (2 days a week in office), this position is paying between £75k - £90k per annum plus bonusTHE ROLE:You will be working with the Head of Architecture and another Technical Architect on the optimisation and stabilisation of the new platform that was rolled out across the UK earlier this year. The platform has been built using a modular design to improve consistency, reduce development time, and improve flexibility, with modern technologies.Their systems process 1000's of transactions every second and handle massive amounts of live incoming data, similar in nature to those used in a stock exchange.This is a purely architectural role with no hands-on programming, however you will be working very closely with the Lead Developers "at the coal face".Responsibilities:Transform business requirements into solution designs that align with the current business strategy.Lead workshops/whiteboard sessions to establish architecture solutions to complex problems.Collaborate with other architects to ensure solutions are compatible with the wider landscape and long-term vision.Work closely with engineering teams providing support, direction, and technical guidance during design and implementation.Contribute to the Architecture Strategic Road Map and overall capability.Ensure architecture work meets standards and aligns with the current business and architecture principles.25 days holidayHybrid remote working (2 days a week in office)PensionEnhanced Maternity & Paternity payetc.REQUIREMENTS:Prior experience in an ArchitectBackground in software development (.Net)Knowledge of software design patterns (and anti-patterns)Awareness of architectural patternsExcellent communicator at all levelsExperience of leading a delivery team in an architecture capacity*Please note that visa sponsorship cannot be offered*IND_PC1Carbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group STEM Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.With insight across the whole of Lorien, we’ll keep you ahead of the curve on the talent market.
