All our employees enjoy access to dynamic career opportunities across different fields and industries.Join us and make an impact.We have an opportunity for a Software Applications Engineer to join our team in Leicester, UK!Responsibilities:Develop HMI and control applications, performing internal and external test, FAT, Commissioning & Start Up, SAT.High focus on system architecture and project specific networks. HON or Siemens PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, with respective programming toolsSupport PM and LE influencing the conceptual design for the basic engineering (P&ID, system Architecture, Layout, FDS)Design verificationSupport design of electrical cabinets, systems and electrical equipmentSupport engineering documents, i.e. P&ID, wiring diagrams, commissioning manual, production proceduresPrepare and/or review RFQ packagesPerform technical bid evaluationTechnical interface to sub suppliersSub suppliers: Monitor and ensure technical compliance, quality, on time deliveryEnsures that the engineered solution meets project requirements in terms of functionality, standards, quality, and supporting documentation and implementation process at minimum cost by allocating work assignments to project team fully utilizing standard builds & standardized workYour Skills and Experience:BS / BA degree or relevant industry experienceSome experience in a similar role in the process control industryKnowledge and experience with state of the arts automation systems. Siemens SPS, HMI, SCADA, DCS. TCP/IP, FieldBus communication, Profinet/Profibus/Modbus. Required programing tools loke TIA Portal, Step7, WINCC Flexible, WINCC, PCS7 and HC DesignerBasic knowledge in Primary measuring instruments (Flow Meters, specifically Ultrasonic Flowmeter), Secondary measuring instruments (PT, TT etc.), Flow Computer (FC), Gas Chromatograph (GC), Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), SCADA, Flow & Energy Calculation (AGA, ISO standards)Conversant with the technical requirements (UK Gas Network specifications) and the applicable UK codes and standardsExperienced with UK Design approval process G17/PS6We Offer:A culture that fosters inclusion, diversity and innovationMarket specific training and on-going personal developmentIf this is your dream role, then we'd love to hear from you.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
