The School and Role

ABC Teachers are seeking a dynamic Sociology Teacher to join our team in Worcestershire. The school are looking for a motivated and experienced Sociology Teacher to deliver engaging lessons to secondary school students. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Sociology principles and possess the ability to inspire and educate students from diverse backgrounds. The school is located in an easily accessible location, with on-site parking and nearby transport links. You will be joining a supportive and collaborative department, who work together to shape children's futures.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan and deliver high-quality Sociology lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and attendance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.

Requirements

The successful Sociology Teacher will have;


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Specialisation in Sociology or related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Sociology at the secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
