The successful applicant will not necessarily have experience of working in a mental health environment but will have good assessment skills and be keen to work in a multi-disciplinary setting. To apply for this post you need either to be a qualified and practicing Approved Mental Health Professional or be willing to undertake the relevant training and join our supportive and pro-active AMHP team.The Mental Health Social Care Team is co-located with Mersey Care’s Adult Community Mental Health Team at Hartley Hospital and works closely with health colleagues. The team comprises social workers, community care practitioners and support workers and provides a person centred and holistic service to adults aged 18 to 70 who experience severe and enduring mental illness. Within the team we operate a recovery service which provides short term reablement support to promote service users’ independence and wellbeing; social workers are fully involved in the work of this team and oversee the progress of their cases while they are in receipt of support from the recovery team.The team covers the resort town of Southport and the town of Formby and has good road and rail links to Liverpool and Ormskirk.
