The role:

• Recruit, assess and monitor the suitability and competence of foster carers.
• Provide on going support and supervision of foster carers long or short-term fostering placements for children who come into care.
• Find permanent new families for children who can't go home for whatever reason.
• To provide support, counselling, and therapeutic interventions to adoptive families.
• To assist the foster carer in their task of providing care to a child in care.
• Achieve the best outcomes for our children and families and to sustain them in their communities.
• Undertaking statutory duties in accordance with National Fostering Standards and Regulations
• Have a good knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.

The successful candidate:

• Social work degree or an equivalent qualification
• Registered with Social Work England
• 2 years of fostering and or adoption experience
• Ability to be flexible as working practices can include occasional evening and weekend work.
• UK driver's license and access to a vehicle
