Maternity Cover - Adoption Social Worker

A Regional Adoption Agency based in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Social Worker with a background in Adoption to join their team

Highlights:

• The Adoptions agency is a collaboration between 4 Local Authorities in the area so you will have the opportunity to work across services and increase your employability prospects.
• The role will focus around carrying our Prospective Adoption Reports, sessional parenting assessments and some Family finding.
• The post offers a high degree of flexibility and requires you to be in the office only 1 day a week contributing to healthier work/life balance and making this an ideal post if you have other commitments.
• The contract also offers a higher degree of stability as you will be covering a maternity leave and there is scope of the contract being extended beyond the initial 9 months.
• Pay rates are negotiable but are affected by the regional caps.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Social Worker to take on a post within an Adoption team; considered to be a much more stable area of Children's service with minimal staff turnover. This is an ideal opportunity for those candidates who are looking to get stuck into their next assignment quickly as the manager is also keen to fill this vacancy and is offering interviews within 24 hours of receiving CV's.

The post focuses around completing PAR's within statutory timescales. On average members of the team carry around 3 assessments at any one time and this is capped to ensure that workloads remain manageable. The team is a stable team and members have been working for the authority for a number of years, including the Team Manager.
