Position Overview:
As a Fostering Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and assessing foster carers, ensuring they have the necessary skills, resources, and support to provide safe and loving homes for children in care. You will work closely with foster families, providing guidance, training, and ongoing support to promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of prospective foster carers, including home visits and interviews.
Providing training and support to foster carers to enhance their skills and understanding of child development, attachment, and trauma-informed care.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, health professionals, and educators, to ensure coordinated support for children and families.
Responding promptly to safeguarding concerns and taking appropriate action to protect the welfare of children.
