Social Value Consultant or Senior ConsultantRealWorth is a Social Value Consultancy and we are looking for someone to join our fast-growing London team. We help organisations identify, optimise, measure and communicate the social value of buildings, places and programmes to positively impact the world.Our work is primarily in the built environment, with development companies, local authorities and local government bodies, in the UK and internationally. We aim to create lasting positive social change wherever possible and have applied our services to sports clubs, entertainment venues and social enterprises.What we are looking for:We are a close-knit team with expertise in town planning, research, development management, and social impact assessment. We are seeking a self-motivated and independent individual passionate about inclusivity in the built environment to join the RealWorth team.We are trying to find the right person for one of two roles.Applicants for the consultant role should have a minimum of two years’ experience in social impact and/or strategic urban development.Applicants for the senior consultant role should have a minimum of five years’ experience in social impact and/or strategic urban development.Applicants for both roles should also:o Be genuinely interested in urbanism, the built environment and social impacto Be comfortable working independentlyo Be flexible and able to adapt to company needs, even if tasks fall beyond the core job descriptiono Be interested in and keen to participate in developing and growing a scale-up businesso Be personable and confident in social professional settingsCore responsibilities:We are looking for someone who shares our passion and commitment to making the built environment a force for good. The successful candidate will have experience in, and understanding of, social values, research and the built environment. They will also be well placed to maintain lasting and trusted relationships with our clients and be able to manage and lead their own projects and workstreams.Typical tasks for our Social Value Consultants include:· Providing advice to clients on how to create better, more inclusive places· Engaging with stakeholders to understand local needs to inform decision-making· Assessing the social impact of projects, programmes and policies through data analysis· Carrying out policy and socio-economic research· Managing client relationships and developing new opportunities to work with existing and prospective clients· Contributing to and in some cases leading on outputs, such as proposals and reportsTo be successful you'll need:a genuine demonstrable interest in, and passion for, helping people to improve their lives and make the best of themselvesa comprehensive understanding of social impact and the built environmentgood data analysis and written and verbal communication skills to deliver comprehensive reports to clientsstrong project management skills to proactively lead workstreamsexperience in developing positive client and stakeholder relationships with a wide range of peopleproactive approach to non-fee earning work and business developmentproficiency in IT including Microsoft Office suite (particularly Microsoft Word and Excel)to be based in or close to LondonIt might also help if you have:A relevant qualification in a related field such as sustainability, the social sciences, geography, planning, economics, business studies, etc.Experience in a social value-related roleWe are keen to make this role attractive and open to candidates who have physical, mental or other impairments or may have otherwise faced barriers to entering employment.
