We are seeking a Social Media Manager to help us share our message, make great content, reach our customers in new ways, advocate internally for the importance of social media, and take our social media accounts to the next
level.
Job Summary: The Social Media Manager will be the point person for Cision’s presence across social media platforms. They will be responsible for managing Cision social media channels, creating a consistent cadence of
posts and content, maintaining great communication with key stakeholders within the company, advocating internally for the importance of social media, and finding new and creative ways to reach and engage our core
customer base. Reporting to the Director of Social Media, this role will play an important part in shaping Cision’s organic social media presence and brand voice. Responsibilities:Work with the social media team to develop and execute an organic social media strategy for Cision accounts.Daily community management, with a focus on timely customer service, and on meeting customers/followers where they are in creative ways.Keep a pulse on social media trends and opportunities.Be an advocate for Cision’s brand on social: identifying risks, taking advantage of social media trends, and amplifying Cision’s reach/credibility.Assist with developing internal outreach via an Employee Advocacy program.Provide regular reporting, insights and recommendations based on social media metrics.Oversee creative content production (videos, graphics, etc.) with our internal design team.Develop internal content generation processes, such as instructing team members on types of content to capture, brainstorming how to maximize event coverage, etc.Generate creative ideas and produce best-in-class, social-first content across organic channels.Maintain strong relationships and communications with our internal content team, assisting them by amplifying their work through innovative and engaging social media content.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Marketing, English, or related field.Minimum 3 years experience in social media management (B2B and/or SaaS marketing experience is a plus, but not required).Strong expertise and a passion for current and emerging social media platforms.Familiarity with social media management and social listening tools (Experience with Brandwatch Social Media Management is a plus).Strong skills in copywriting.Passion for engaging communities through unique campaigns and authentic outreach.Some experience with video and graphic editing, both in social platforms and software (Adobe suite).A desire to create and build bridges in the workplace, breaking down silos and educating colleagues about the importance of social media.Detail-orientated with a desire to learn and grow in a workplace.An outside-the-box thinker who brings new ideas to the table, with their eye on social media trends.
