We're looking for an experienced social media manager to join the team and take responsibility for building Gener8's brand across all of our social media channels.
About Us
Since its launch in 2018, Gener8 has been at the forefront of the "open data" movement: the belief that people should be able to control and be rewarded from their own data. Gener8's consumer products include a web browser, browser extension, IOS and Android apps. Our products enable people to transparently and willingly share their data with Gener8, whilst preserving their privacy, so that we can create value from it for them.
We are growing fast. With more than 230,000 new app downloads over the past few months alone. Every month our desktop browser racks up the equivalent of 250 yrs in time spent browsing on it. As you can imagine, we have great volumes of proprietary data which we can create value from.
Gener8 was named "disruptor of the year" in 2022 by the Great British Entrepreneur Awards and our investors include 3 Dragons from BBC's Dragon's Den as well as personalities such as the rap star Tinie Tempah, former football manager Harry Redknapp and cricketer Chris Gayle to name a few. In 2023 we met with the Prime Minister at Downing street and were invited to become a member of the Government's new "Smart Data Council", shaping the future of data legislation in the UK.
Requirements
To be the right fit for this role, social media must be your bread and butter. Facebook, Insta and TikTok are our go to channels, but there's an opportunity for us to be present in more locations in the future.
You will be responsible for representing and building the Gener8 brand across all social channels. This means posting multiple times per day, communicating with our followers and adding our voice to wider industry conversations.
You'll sit within the marketing team, but will work closely with everyone. For example, you will be the closest person to our users, therefore you will know how they feel about Gener8 and which new features they're asking for next. So you will feedback this information to the engineering team to inform our product development.
The right candidate will have a twinkle in their eye, think fast on their feet and, above all, be passionate about what we're building. Gener8 is about much more than our technology. We're a group of people who are driving a movement.
