About HdM GALLERY:
Founded in Beijing in 2009, HdM is a leading international gallery specialising in contemporary art across various mediums including painting, sculpture, video, and installation.
HdM has expanded significantly since its inception, recently relocating to a spacious new venue spanning over 500 square meters in Beijing. In 2018, we established international offices in London and Paris.
The gallery is dedicated to supporting recognised artists from different backgrounds, with many of HdM’s Chinese artists being emerging talents, and showcasing their work internationally. Our international artists are typically more established, and HdM focuses on introducing their work to new audiences in China.
The Role:
The gallery is looking for a Social Media Lead that’s eager to come up with creative solutions for our gallery’s online strategy, as well as manage our social team (trainee and consultant).
Do you live and breathe the art world? Are you a social media native with experience working with IG, Facebook, TikTok and other platforms?
Since 2020, HdM successfully began selling art online. Similar to most other galleries, HdM had operated in the traditional way; launching exhibition programs, participating in global art fairs, producing academic catalogues, and organising institutional shows for artists. The post-Covid era has required more focus on social platforms and online sales, and we’re eager to develop in this space further.
This role is suitable for a candidate that has experience in growing online communities, and is confident in lead gen tactics.
Location:
This role requires frequent in-person meetings in our London office preferably once a week.
Key Responsibilities:
• Along with our founder, define our online strategy across platforms
• Manage our social media Team (trainee and consultant) to implement our strategy across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.).
• Grow our online community and develop tactics to drive traffic to our online sales platforms.
• Set up comprehensive system and methods to maximize sales opportunities and to evaluate and analyze efforts
Skills:
• Understanding lead gen tactics using social media content
• Good knowledge of influencer’s needs and psychology
• Strong attention to detail and highly refined organizational skills
• Good resource in the content creation industry
• Preferably to have a proven track record of delivering KPI-driven results
Reporting:
• Set up comprehensive systems and methods such as Instagram statistics to evaluate and analyse performance.
• Utilise knowledge of algorithms and search engine optimization to enhance the quality and quantity of our online presence.
• Set up a marketing intelligence system to stay current on new practices and emerging trends in social media.
