Security (Cyber) Operations Manager - 6 Month Contract (Inside IR35) - Hybrid (1 days pw, Glasgow or 1 week per month) - Starting ASAP

Circa £650 depending on experience
Job Description:
Harvey Nash's public sector client looking to fill a SOC Manager role for a 6 month contract. They will be tasked with leading two teams; the operational cyber security protective monitoring team (SOC Team). The required skills and experience needed to satisfy the duties of the role are:
Main Duties:
Day-to-day supervising and leading the technical resources in a SOC type environment, including those new into their roles
Knowledge and experience of relevant SIEM tools and technology, on premise and/or cloud hosted and ideally Elastic but could also include Splunk, qRadar or similar
Able to lead investigations highlighted by the protective monitoring team and managing any subsequent resulting incidents
Ability to evangelise the use of monitoring technologies across the organisation and into non security areas such as availability or performance monitoring
Tenable experience
