Snr Production Manager - Ops

The Opportunity

Ford & Stanley are looking for a rail operations specialist who understands driver behaviours and operational safety issues to help design, project manage and ultimately run a new Traincare centre in the Bradford area. It’s a fantastic opportunity to do something entirely different whilst making excellent use of an existing rail operation skillset.

Location

Position can be relatively flexible but the new Traincare depot will ultimately be in the Bradford area. The project team are based from Network Rail’s York office and there will be a requirement to go there, but there are other locations such as Leeds that will be feasible as part of the job. There will be an element of home working as part of the build phase of the project.

Role and Responsibilities

• To lead and direct the depot Production and Movements staff through the Production Delivery Managers and Driver Team Manager to achieve safety & environmental performance, people, profit and customer targets agreed by the business in respect of the maintenance and movements of Traction & Rolling Stock.
• Co-ordinate the Production, Movements and MDD teams to ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of the business objectives on the TCC to meet the operational, cultural, commercial and safety objectives of the company
• The role should ensure that all work schedules are co-ordinated so they deliver the agreed depot production plan and within predefined budgets. 

Essential

• Demonstrable experience within Rail Operations – either as a Driver or coordinating and understanding Driver behaviours
• Solid understanding of Rail Safety
• Demonstrable leadership experience

Desirable

• Have a NEBOSH qualification
• Have a recognised leadership qualification
• Have prior project management experience
